It's A Heat Wave in Phoenix

 

First Stop - Phoenix, Arizona

On Sunday, we got a ride to Richmond, VA airport and flew to Phoenix, Arizona. Our friends Janet & Dennis picked us up and brought us to their home in Anthem. I have been friends with Janet for 43 years - scary! We will be here here til June 3rd; when we pick up our rental car to head north towards Spokane, WA.

Back in Deltaville

Just a quick post - all went well with the Doctor appts in Cooperstown - Hooray! We are back in Deltaville after overnight stop in Annville, PA with Raymond and Susan. Mo & George met us at the boat about an hour after we arrived and spent the night. Great to see our friends.

Lots of News

We have been very busy during the last the past several weeks. Spent three weeks working on Kismet on the hard. Washed, polished, and waxed the hull, Stripped all the Cetol in the cockpit, and applied 4 new coats, did engine maintenance, painted the bottom, ordered a new dodger, ordered new cushions for the cockpit, etc., etc... (must have been many more things cause we were pretty tired)! Especially Jim.....he thought he was just getting old, but actually he was so tired because he got Shingles! He coped with the annoying rash and discomfort like a champ. Fortunately, it was not too bad, and it is going away. On Saturday, May 5th, we rented a car and headed up to NY with stops at relatives in Silver Spring, MD and Jon & Yvonne's in Annapolis. On Sunday, we arrived in Cooperstown, NY were we are staying at a wonderful cabin overlooking Otsego Lake. We have lots going on here....did 2011 taxes, taking care of details of selling our house in Norwich, and yesterday we attended daughter Emily & Joseph's Wedding in Vestal, NY. Can't describe what a wonderful day this was! Hopefully, we will be heading back to Deltaville, VA by Thursday - after all my Doctors appts on Tuesday.
