A Spectacular Docking

We decided to hang out at the welcome center a little later yesterday; rather than lock through the South Mills Lock with 12+ boats. We had a leisurely ride down the Swamp and the Pasquotank River with "Argonauta" & "Marylee". When we arrived in Elizabeth City at around 1500; all of the slips were filled so we were directed to go further South to a spot on the wall across from the museum. The wind was fairly brisk. There were already 2 boats tied up, and we had to dock parallel between them on a concrete wall. Jim did a fantastic job of laying the boat in the spot! Just perfect! Whew! We attended the wine & cheese party hosted by the "Rose Buddies" of Elizabeth City, then had shrimp scampi on "Kismet" with John & Mary from "Marylee". Today we enjoyed a Farmers Market and then took advantage of the free shuttle service to the Farm Fresh Supermarket - a great store! The wind is blowing 15-25 today, but the sun is shining bright. Not sure if we will leave tomorrow or Monday; weather dependent.

We are missing you guys a lot!! I hope that the weather will be beautiful for you the rest of the way. May the Lord continue to use you as HIS light. Hey, on Nov. 8th Joe is speaking at a Healing service in Wellsville. Pray that the Lord will give him the words to say . I am hoping that some of us or all of us can be there to be prayed over and be healed of any infirmities. I know Joe's cholesterol is high, but his medicines is under control. If he stops eating so much...that is actually what he needs healing for (me too and my mom and Lucas!!!) well, take care. Homeschooling is hard, but I have NOT heard yet "I am bored" so is worth it!!!. Josh is doing much better in school...thank you Lord and you guys for your prayers. love Becky D.
