Sometimes you sail, sometimes you wish you could

Well we are underway to our next big job, cat sitting. We met a new set of friends outside of Reedville,Lane & Harry on Crane Creek. we were able to tie up to the dock and sleep in the AC. Had a wonderful dinner and left early Sunday to visit one of the destinations we had been trying to get to for awhile, Onancock. It was well worth the trip, as we call it ,"a great atmosphere place". We also had a nice wind for the journey. The next two legs to Pt Lookout and Solomons Island were less than ideal with only about 30% of the distance covered with cloth instead of many milion year old organic matter. We were blasted by a 3am t-storm in Pt Lookout but we rediscovered the Solomons. We did the luxury mooring ball at Zahniser's for one night complete with pool, SHOWERS, bikes (to extend our explorations)and laundry. After 3 nights it was "time to go" and the wind was perfect, SSE 10-12kts for an ideal spinnaker run.(well except for some forget how to sail tangles) The wind built some more and even though the current was contrary for the whole trip we were anchored down by 1430 in the pretty Baby Owl Cove, south of St Michaels Md. So it wasn't perfect but close enough.
