Just when I told you that we were cruising the Chesapeake slowly.......Plans changed. We are trying to get to Long Island Sound around the third week in June; so that we can help Jim's Mom with her transition to an assisted living place. Her house needs some work before it is put on the market; so we are anxious to get that done.
After a stop in Reedville VA, where we had the BEST crabcakes at the "Crazy Crab" restaurant, we moved on to the Solomons. Had an interesting 45 mile sail - sometimes moving at 1.5 knots to flying at 7 knots! But we did make it in 10 hours. Next stop was the West River; by Galesville - an all day motoring trip; the little wind that there was - was right on our nose. Yesterday, we sailed a whopping 10 miles to the South River where we are visiting Jonathan & Yvonne on "Speranza" for a few days.
