More Sailing

The weather guessers called for SW winds 10-15kts. and they actually were pretty close. We have found that they are never off by more than 180 degrees and they were spot on this time. We left Old Point Comfort about 0630 and had the sails up as soon as we cleared the entrance to Hampton Roads. The wind ranged in a comfortable 10-20kts. Many times Kismet had her shoulder down pushing towards Deltaville. I think she was anxious to get on the hard and be treated to the annual spa treatment. We took the sails in at Jackson Creek and anchored waiting to be hauled out the next day. She was so excited that she even backed perfectly into the haulout bay. We have now begun the long list of maintenance chores. We will be heading to Emily's wedding and Laurie's checkup before heading out West for our big land voyage. It was a great sail to fill the void until we can get back on board. Of course by then we will have to learn to sail again.
