Would Be Nice to Have A Camera!

Today we are sitting at anchor in Cape Lookout Bight, NC. This is one of those spots that a camera would be particularly nice to have to record the magnificent scenery. The lighthouse, the dunes, the beach, etc. We have been wanting to see this area for a few years now, so since we had the time, we came here for a couple of days. To backtrack abit - we tried to anchor in Georgetown, SC but the harbor was way too crowded so we moved on to Butler Island; just 6 miles north for the night. Then off to Osprey Marina, for the night where friends Karen & Bill from Georgetown came for a great visit. We did a Walmart stop and lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. Then, we did another marina stop at St. James Plantation near Southport, NC since this area lacks good anchorages. Then next day hit the current well to travel to Wrightsville Beach, NC. Went to our favorite Mexican Restaurant; Tower7, and walked the beach. We were going to head out the inlet to travel on the outside to Beaufort; but conditions weren't right so off we went on the ICW to anchor in Sloop Point, near Surf City. Next day we weighed anchor at 0615, so that we could time our 0700 arrival at the Surf City Bridge. Then we raised the sails and sailed most of the way to Morehead City on the ICW. We were going to stop at one of our favorite anchorages; Spooner Creek, but when we arrived, a boat was aground in the entrance channel. So....off we went to tie up in Morehead City at the Sanitary Restaurant Dock, another place that we have wanted to check out. Yesterday morning we motored about 10 miles to anchor in beautiful Cape Lookout!
